resource means any component of the natural environment whose use is of interest to people. The soil, vegetation, fisheries, oil or a beehive are examples of resources.
Depending on their capacity for regeneration differ:
- renewable resources. They those who are part of a natural cycle that can regenerate after use. A renewable resource can be consumed on a permanent basis provided they do not exceed the capacity of recovery.
- nonrenewable resources. are those that do not regenerate after use or it takes many generations in return so are depleted as they are used. The oil is considered non-renewable resource because resilience is very low.
